Implementations
Depending on the size of your Agency and the features you want to make available to customers, there are a number of ways to implement Case.
Myrnham Hosted Web (Recommended)
Your head office runs an application server containing your databases to which your users connect via the Case Client. This server synchronises with our web server databases on a schedule to suit your needs. Customers visiting the website get the best experience possible as website and supporting data run in an Internet facing environment. Branch offices replicate their data to their own local machine (or server) from the head office.
Self-hosted Web
Your head office runs an application server containing your databases to which your users connect via the Case Client. This server acts as a web server. Branch offices replicate their data to their own local machine (or server) from the head office. Care should be taken to ensure the Internet connect is large enough for hosting without loss of performance - either SDSL or leased line is recommended. Extra care should be taken to ensure correct security measures are in place.
Hosted Web linked back to office data
Your head office runs an application server containing your databases to which your users connect via the Case Client. A standard (cheap) web hosting service runs the website which refers back to the head office for databases requests. An SDSL or standard ADSL Internet connection can support this option but care should be taken to ensure correct security measures are in place before exposing the databases to the Internet. Branch offices replicate their data to their own local machine (or server) from the head office.
No Web
Your head office runs an application server containing your databases to which your users connect via the Case Client. The server is closed to the Internet. Branch offices replicate their data to their own local machine (or server) from the head office.
